Yoda was the ancient Jedi Master that lived his final years while hiding in the swampland planet of Dagobah. At the ripe age of Nine hundred years, Yoda had trained Jedi for over eight centuries and was extremely powerful in the Force. Some of his final years were spent training pupils like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker.
During the final days of the Republic, Yoda was a highly regarded member of the Jedi Council. Yoda served with other well known Jedi Masters such as Mace Windu, Ki-Adi-Mundi and he was present during galaxy changing events that sealed the fate of the Jedi order forever.
Yoda also held an important role in the Jedi Council regarding young Padawans. He was the first point of contact for them and gave guidance every step of the way. Over the years, some of the Republic's best Jedi's trained under Yoda as children. Once the Jedi hopefuls grew older, they would then be paired to an older Jedi Knight or Master to continue training one-on-one.
