Anakin Skywalker made an undeniable impact on the entire galaxy as he led with both the light and the dark side of the Force.
He was born into slavery on the planet Tatooine with only his mother on his side. Anakin and his mother Shmi were later sold to the horrible junk dealer Watto. During their time under Watto, Anakin learned valuable mechanical and technical skills. He eventually became known as the one that could fix just about anything.
As a child, Anakin was very kind and only thought of others. However, when he was challanged, he left restraint behind. As he became older, he expressed his competitive streak in the sport of Pod racing.
Anakin became the only human skilled at Pod racing due to his extremely fast movements. He was also able to use the Force through intuition to see events before they happened and react to them.
It was later that Anakin came across Qui-Gon Jinn, a skilled Jedi master. Jinn believed Anakin was the Chosen One spoken of in an ancient prophecy, the one who would bring balance to the Force. The Jedi Council was reluctant to train the boy as a Jedi because of his age and possible clouded future. However, after Naboo was liberated, partially due to Anakin's bravery in piloting a starfighter into the heart of the Trade Federation Droid Control Ship, the Council reconsidered their decision and allowed Obi-Wan Kenobi to train young Anakin as a Jedi.
Anakin and Obi-Wan were later assigned to protect Padmé Amidala, the Senator of Naboo, from assassination attempts. When he was assigned to escort Senator Amidala to Naboo, Anakin could barely contain his love for Amidala that had developed. While spending time protecting Amidala, their love began to grow but they both had larger issues at hand.
